Weekly Photo Challenge: Distorted

The theme of this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge is Distorted. This odd photo instantly came to mind. A different twist on the panorama, it was taken with my iPhone on a recent hike. You can see my shadow, and my two dogs are there too. I like how it looks like it’s just us on our own little world. But that’s what a great hike on a nice day with your dogs makes you feel anyway, so maybe this isn’t quite as distorted as it seems at first glance.

Wow. I had to stare at it for a few seconds to get the perspective. LOL. GREAT!

This photo is seriously amazing! Looks like someone is looking down at you, but as you can see the whole sky in feels they are in an alternate Universe or something! Great shot, well done! Going to have to share this with some mates on facebook! 🙂

  10. Can I ask how you did it? I’d love to play with the technique.

    • Nancy, do you have an iPhone? This was created using an app called 360 Panorama. It’s an extremely cool app that takes sort of ‘interactive’ 360 degree panoramas. You can send them to someone else who can then hold their phone up and move it through a scene in any direction, as if they were standing right where you were when you took it! I recently discovered this other view, I think it’s called ‘stereographic,’ for outputting an image of your panorama. Check it out, it’s fun!!

      • It certainly is fun but is going to take some practice. I’ll let you know when I post something. Thanks!
