A Clear, Foggy Morning

Dense fog covered the area this morning. At first glance outside you could barely see anything, but a closer inspection made me grab the camera. Countless spiderwebs appear where they go unnoticed every other morning, and the entire landscape was cloaked in a soft, soothing, filtered light.

  1. Beautiful images! No fog here on the mountain this morning, but I could see it down below on the Shenandoah River. Love the spider webs!

  3. Lovely photos…first time I’ve seen The Platform from far enough away to really appreciate how you sited it. I love how all the small webs on the lawn are covered in dew, making them look like tufts of cotton or something. Was sunny here in the mountains when I woke up, but now its overcast and feels like rain.

  5. What a nice surprise to find! They are beautiful works of art. And your photos are great. I’ve never had great success capturing webs with good photo results. You need a good backdrop. I so enjoyed yours! Have a good weekend 🙂 Debra

    • Thanks Debra. I think more important than a good backdrop is a shallow depth of field. If it’s shallow enough, it doesn’t matter what’s behind it!
